DELIBERATION: AT THE FEET OF LAO TZU, CHINA (The Time Traveler's Oracle)

✨Today, we travel to: a lovely garden with the legendary philosopher Lao Tzu in China. We sit beneath the plum tree that is in full blossom while the air is fragrant and a soft brushes our skin. We are so inspired to be here with his other students. Lao Tzu radiates a vast depth of wisdom and grace as he speaks about the importance of deliberation. Lao Tzu is the reputed author of the Tao Te Ching and the founder of Taoism, which honors and reveres living in harmony with nature. Taoism focuses on deliberating thoughtfully on life, being genuine, letting go of attachments, and embracing simplicity. He is telling us now to be thoughtful with every action and be measured in our responses to the activities of life.✨

Your reminder today is that there is great value in being deliberate with the decisions that you make in life. Of course, there are situations that call for spontaneity and making choices on instinct. However, there are other times when it's important to think long and hard about what is ahead. This card is a sign to not make any decision without thinking through every aspect of what that choice will entail. If there are two paths ahead, one complex and one simple, choose the simple one. If someone wants a quick decision from you, graciously decline until you have had time to deliberate. There's a place within you that always knows what is true for you. Take time in silence, stillness, and meditation to discern how you want to proceed. You need authenticity in your life and to follow your inner voice.
